6^th of June – Y DAY in  Romania   

In 6 June 1844 was founded  the Y  !

For this reason, the General Assembly of YMCA Romania Federation choose  6^th of June to be Y DAY all over Romania!

This year the  romanian YMCAs   “moved” their community in this great day, spent time with the other young people , to share the Y spirit, promoted  the local YMCA activities,  played games,  sports and,  most important thing, to HAVE FUN!

For this day, in Baia Mare ,YMCA Baia Mare and YMCA Romania Federation organized a Intercultural Evening where their 7 EVS volunteers from  different countries present their countries, traditions, history and prepare traditional food.

The EVS volunteers were:

Jesus Molleja Valle ( Spania), Martina Scherrer ( Austria), Olga Omelchenko ( Ucraina) , Dillara Ogullar ( Turcia) – “Shine 4 You(th )” project  of Federatia YMCA Romania

Ruben Carricondo (Spania), Aija Miltina (Letonia), Sonia Dauvergne (Franta)  “Building Dreams for You(th) ” and ” Breaking The Walls” projects of YMCA Baia Mare.

The EVS  projects were founded by European Comision through Youth in Action programe.
