“Since we arrived in January to Olde Vechte I can say that I was busy. I feel that I am growing as a person. I am part of an EVS project based vocational voluntary work, where I can develop employability skills working in different places- like retired horse farm, gardening, cheese farm, campsite, meetings with staff from Olve Vechte and helping them with all certain things in the projects they run. I attended the on arrival EVS training organized in Apeldoorn and there I met with all foreign volunteers who came to the Netherlands for their EVS. It was a very good experience for me.
Also, because in Romania I was part of the team of volunteers who organized various running competitions (marathon, etc) I visited various cities where it was organized such competitions to see how they do it , to learn and maybe I can be involve also in the future as volunteer.
With the support of my coordinator, I joined the city’s football team in Ommen , we practice weekly and I play also in different games. It’s a very good for me, beside the fact that I do physical activity , in this way I got to know local people and my integration is easier.
I just participated in the training organized by Olde Vechte “Event Wise” – a basic personal development training with high impact on participants.
When I came here i was afraid because i did not speak a good English but now I improved a lot, and I have learnt that daily communication help a lot.
Here are some pictures from my activities:from on arrival training in Apeldoorn, 8th football team of Ommen( OZC), at Olde Manegepeerd Stichting (Rika`s horse farm) with the participants from youth exchange Europe Express organized by Olde Vechte Foundation, working with my EVS colleague “.
