YMCA – YWCA Global – Norway is organizing between 1st-7th August 2018 at Sjøglimt Leirsted, Marker Municipality, a mobility for youth workers with the focus on Advocacy, Subject to Citizen, Creating Global Movement, Sustainable Development Goals and Civic Engagement.
Other activities will be :
– Welcoming session, introduction and getting to know each other: after welcoming words, presentation of participants and brief explanation around the programme, the group will be briefed of the logic behind the activities and the final objectives. Participants will also play various games and be given certain tasks to get acquainted with each other.
– Reflections: Every evening participant will gather in given groups, to discuss the sessions. The groups will also share stories and life experiences that give “names and faces” to general issues facing young people.
– Cultural evenings: Sharing of the culture to the different countries, for instance with dance, food and clothes, as well as the context of these countries relating advocacy, youth work and poverty.
– Campaign: We will develop a new campaign together. The last day will we be joined by some leaders from YMCA-YWCA in Norway, and we will travel to Oslo to have the joint campaign in the city. This will be a practical task, and will be a summary of all we have learned during the week.

Sjøglimt Leirsted is in Marker municipality, northwest of Ørje (close to the Swedish Border). Within an amazing scenery, Sjøglimt Leirsted also boasts of a great facility that offer its clients sporting opportunities such as soccer and table tennis to hiking trains and wall climbing activities.

We will hire two busses to pick up all the participants in Oslo. The bus will leace from Oslo central station in the evening. Please let us know when you will arrive, so that we can plan for the time you should be picked. There are buses and trains going from the airport to Oslo City center after every 10 minutes.
Finance
Reimbursement of travel costs of the participants is ALWAYS based on receiving all the eligible travel documents (tickets, invoices, boarding passes etc.) in original (or in electronic original where available).
