New EVS blog: Something is changed in Baia Mare

Something is changed in Baia Mare: now our team is smaller. Juan left the boat! The fantastic six turned into the amazing five and they left for their Mid Term Evaluation Meeting in Predeal. After 12 hours in the train, they finally arrived at their destination in the beautiful mountains of Brasov County. Predeal was full of snow, good people and positive vibes.

The week before we left for our great trip, we had a whole week of meaningful activities ahead. The Motto of the week was No Hate Speech and we tried some new methods. But life is not only about working and we decided to finish our week of work eating Pizza with other EVS volunteers.

The meeting took place for three days and it was about sharing experiences, expanding our network and talking about life after EVS. The first day we met new volunteers and old friends from our Arrival Training. We had the opportunity to talk about our own project and introduce ourselves. The following days we had the chance to take a walk in smaller groups to discover Predeal and to make a video to describe our expectations about life after EVS. The last days each volunteer had the possibility to organize his or her own workshop.

It was a wonderful experience which gave us new motivation. Our next stop was Brasov, in fact we decided to stay one more night to visit this charming city. We did a free walking tour through the town center, we got a better view of the history of this place. Also, we decided to visit Bran to see Dracula’s Castel and our dearest Johnny went to Sinaia to see Peleș Castel.

And after other 10 hours in the sleeping train, we finally come back: HOME, SWEET HOME.
